Privacy policy

In short

This website (englishacademyiq.com) doesn't ask for any personal data: there are no sign-up forms, no accounts, no tracking cookies and no analytics tools. Our learning platform at learn.englishacademyiq.com does have learner accounts; the sections below explain what the platform keeps and why.

The learning platform: what we keep

We keep only what the platform needs to work:

• Your account: the nickname you choose, your email address and your password (stored only in a one-way encrypted form, so nobody can read it).
• Your progress: your placement test result, the lessons and exercises you have done and your answers, your points, streak, league and badges, and your level exam results.
• Certificates: your full name in English letters, as you type it to be printed on the certificate.
• Signing in: one necessary cookie keeps you signed in, and we note your browser type with it. We use no advertising cookies and no analytics tools.
• Telegram, if you link it: your Telegram chat ID and username, so we can send you reminders and the daily sheet. You can unlink it from your account page.
• A record of the reminders we have sent you, so you never get the same one twice.

What others can see

• Your nickname and points appear to other learners in the weekly league and the overall ranking. Your email address is never shown to anyone.
• If you earn a certificate, anyone with its code or link can open its verification page, which shows your full name, the level, your score and the date.

Services that help us

• Email: we send email confirmation, password reset and reminder emails through Brevo, an email delivery service. Every reminder email has a link to stop reminders.
• Telegram: if you link your account, our messages reach you through Telegram, and Telegram's own privacy policy applies to them.
• Speaking exercises: your browser turns your voice into text with its own speech recognition service (for example Google in Chrome or Apple in Safari), which may send your voice to that company. Your voice never reaches us and we never keep it; only the text your browser recognised reaches us, and we use it to check your answer and keep it with your answers.
• We never sell your data or share it with anyone for advertising.

Deleting your account

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account yourself at any time: on the «حسابي» (My account) page, open «حذف الحساب» (Delete account). The account and all its data go, including your certificates and their verification pages, and they cannot be brought back. If you can't sign in, ask the admins of our Telegram group to delete it.

Server logs

Like most websites, our server (for this website and the platform) keeps technical logs for a limited time, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. We use them only for security and to keep things running, and we don't share them with anyone.

Fonts and files

All the files of the website and the platform, including fonts, images and audio, load directly from our own server, without third-party services.
